The 49th Annual American Society of Hematology (ASH) Meeting was held in Atlanta, Georgia from 8-11 December 2007. This meeting provided hematologists from around the world a forum for discussing current and critical issues in hematology. The latest research and treatments for blood disorders, including multiple myeloma, were presented at this meeting.

Report of the ‘Patient Forum’ of the ECCO 14 conference, September 23-24 2007, Barcelona.

ECCO, the European Cancer Organisation, organises every 2 years a multidisciplinary congress. EMP was represented by Greetje Goossens, Ilse Hein, Joao Salazar and Lia van Ginneken.

The following report on the International Myeloma Workshop in Kos, was written by Greetje Goossens, a myeloma patient herself and one of the European Myeloma Platform counsellors. She attended the workshop together with 3 other members of EMP. She looks at the information obtained at this workshop from a patients’ perspective.
